Zoya Petrova

Zoya Petrova – an opera singer and composer. Soloist of the National Opera House in Bratislava.

Zoya often performs in Italy, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, USA, Japan, South Korea, China.

In 2017–2018 she was a soloist of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. In 2022 she will perform the role of Papagena in the production of The Magic Flute by W. A. Mozart in Switzerland and Germany. Zoya Petrova is a laureate of international competitions in academic vocal, among them: International Vocal Competition named after Ada Sari (Poland); International Music Competition named after A. Rossini CIMP (Italy); Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský International Vocal Competition ( Slovakia); J. Kiepura International Vocal Competition (Poland); International music competition “Czech and Slovak contest in USA” (USA); International competition of vocalists B. T. Shtokolov (Russia); Elena Obraztsova International Competition for Young Vocalists (Russia) and others.

Zoya Petrova is also a laureate of international composition competitions. Among them are: The Oscar Reading International Competition for Performers and Composers (Slovenia); The Romanticism: Origins and Horizons International Competition for Performers and Composers; the Dunaevsky International Competition for Composers and Arrangers. The composer’s works of Zoya were performed by Zagreb Chamber Orchestra (Croatia) and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra (Slovenia). Zoya Petrova has been a frequent guest on the radio: Orpheus (Russia); Radio Slovenija 1 (Slovenia); Radio Devin (Slovakia).

In 2020, Petrova released a solo album of her own songs “Ballads of Love and Death”, which is available on all music platforms. The compositions from the album were performed in Slovenia.
