    8. International Competition for Young Musicians Oskar Rieding

    YOUNG MUSICIAN COMPOSERS

    1. The competition is intended for young musicians instrumentalists and vocalists who want to compile and carry out their own tracks.

    2. The theme of the 8th International Competition for Young Musicians Oskar Rieding is

    The competition is online, applications are open until 25 May 2024.

    The results of the competition will be published after five days after the application deadline on the competition website.

    The competition winners will present their compositions to the audience at the GALA Winners’ Concert, which will take place on June 4, 2024 at 18.00, at the Crystal Hall in Rogaška Slatina.

    3. Young musicians of instrumentalists and/or vocalists with one copyright track can be reported to the competition. The rule of competition is that the author must also be the contractor of the reported musical work, as a soloist or a member of the Chamber Group (in the performance, other musicians can participate) or can also be soloist with chamber or symphony orchestra (3rd and 4th category) or as a soloist with an orchestra (category 5). In the author’s composition, acoustic instrument / instruments can be used, vocal. The use of electroacoustic musical instruments and multimedia is not permitted.

     

    4. Categories. The competition is divided into five age categories:

    1. Category up to 10 years,

    2. Category 11 – 12 years,

    3. Category 13 – 14 years,

    4. Category 15 – 16 years,

    5. Category 17 – 19 years.

     

    5. Competition track.

    Competitors can apply for a competition with one copyright track, which is written for solo contractor (solo or accompaniment) or for a chamber assembly (two artists or more) – in any musical style or genre.

    The use of electroacoustic musical instruments and multimedia is not permitted.

     

     

    6. Competitors in the first three categories can be helped by pedagogue when creating a song, as well as accompanying.

     

    7. Complete on-line registration for the competition must include:

    a) YouTube Link with a candidate video that is not older than 12 months on the day of application. The video must be publicly available (YT channel settings – “public”) and must be the actual recording of the reported candidate.

    b) Notebook reported songs in PDF format – Parture and individual parties (for the 1st and 2nd categories, the record is desirable, but not mandatory).

    c) For the 4th and 5th category (insofar as it is a song for a larger assembly) it is acceptable that the candidate sends a video of its own performance solo part, and MIDI illustration (or electronic illustration in another format) of the entire track, insofar as it can not send a track in the orchestral version.

    8. The minute reported songs must not exceed: 5 min for 1st category, 10 min for 2nd category, 15 min for the 3rd category, 20 min for the 4th and 5th category.

    9. The application must contain personal information (name and surname) candidate and a copy of the personal document.

    10. Registration fee for participation on the competition

    EUR 45,00 for 1st category

    EUR 55.00 for 2nd category

    EUR 55,00 for 3rd category

    EUR 65.00 for 4th category

    EUR 65.00 for 5th category

    You will receive an account for payment of registration with your information to your email address within one day after the online login submitted.

    The period of payment of the registration fee is 5 working days after receipt of the invoice. The Organizing Committee will award 15 scholarships for free registration participants from war zones.

    11. The application deadline is up to 25 May 2024.

    12. The Organizing Committee deals with only complete applications.

    13. The results of the competition will be published on the competition website until 30 May 2024. Competition winners will receive their diplomas via e-mail, as listed in their application form, within one month of the competition’s conclusion.

    14. The winners of the competition will be informed about the date of appearance on the gala concert of finalists.

    15. The finalists themselves cover their travel expenses and potential costs of residence related to occurrences.

    16. The decisions of the jury competitions are final.

    17. The jury may assign any prize to several competitors (ex aequo).

    18. The jury can determine additional prizes for competitors.

    19. By submitting the application form, the candidate and his parents or administrators agree with the above rules.

    20. The candidate and his parents or his parents custodians agree with the registration at the competition and allow free public announcement of video, audio and photo posts of the candidate, his author’s songs and the achievements of the competitor. They also permit the print of the applied tracks in case of jury decision.

    21. The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the competitionIn in case of a low number of registered competitors. In case of cancellation of the competition, the registration fee will be returned to all competitors who have submitted the application.

    22. For all possible questions and disputes is responsible the organizational committee of the competition. Its decisions are final.
